We advise our clients on their employment and contractor relationships, including drafting and negotiating agreements and advising on rights, obligations and remedies.

There are a range of issues that arise during the employment and contractor relationship, from the recruitment process through to post-termination, including the Fair Work legislation (including the National Employment Standards and unfair dismissal laws), restraints of trade, anti-discrimination laws and contractual and trade practices rights and remedies.

We advise on the proactive measures that employers can take to reduce exposure and expense, as well as on the management of specific problems. We have particular expertise in the protection of intellectual property and confidential information in the employment and contractor context.
