Julie Robb
Julie is a partner with significant experience in commercial and intellectual property litigation and a strong background in arts and media law. She has a special interest in the commercial and creative industry sectors, including food manufacture, retailing, biotechnology, construction, publishing and advertising.
Julie is experienced in patent-related litigation and has been involved in a number of commercial disputes arising out of ventures to commercialise patentable technologies in the biotechnology sector.
Julie is a trained mediator and a member of the Law Society of New South Wales Litigation Law and Practice Committee, the New South Wales User Group Committee of the Federal Court of Australia and is co-ordinator of the firm’s pro bono activities through the Public Interest Law Clearing House and Arts Law Centre of Australia. Julie joined Banki Haddock Fiora in 1998, and became a partner of the firm in January 2005. She was previously executive director of the Arts Law Centre of Australia.
She has degrees in arts from Sydney University, law from the University of New South Wales and a masters degree in arts administration from the University of New South Wales.
