A partner of the firm since 2005, Julie is an experienced practitioner in the resolution of her clients’ commercial disputes in a diverse range of businesses, including in technology, food, clothing, publishing and the cultural sector.
Julie specialises in intellectual property litigation in the Federal Court and the Federal Magistrates Court of Australia, and also appears in the State courts in commercial matters. She is a trained mediator, a member of the Law Society of New South Wales Litigation Law and Practice Committee and the New South Wales Users Group of the Federal Court, and co-ordinator of the firm’s pro bono practice.
Julie was Executive Director of the Arts Law Centre of Australia before joining the firm in 1998. She has degrees in arts from the University of Sydney and in law from the University of New South Wales, and a master of arts administration from the University of New South Wales.
