Alasdair is a partner in our litigation team, practising primarily in intellectual property and defamation. He also has experience in more general commercial litigation, including consumer law, equity, contracts and corporations.

Alasdair has represented companies and individuals in the Federal Court, Federal Circuit Court, the Copyright Tribunal of Australia, and a number of Australian state courts, including on appeals to the Full Federal Court and NSW Court of Appeal. He has also acted in copyright rate setting litigation in the Copyright Tribunal of Australia and in private arbitration. He has been admitted to practice in Fiji, where he has appeared in the appellate division of the Fiji High Court. He is also experienced in all aspects of domain name disputes.

Alasdair was recognised as a Rising Star – Australia in Managing IP IP Stars in 2020, 2021 and 2022, as an IP and TMT Law Rising Star – NSW in the Doyles Guide in 2022 and 2023 and is recommended for intellectual property in the Legal 500. He is also a member of the Management Committee of the Copyright Society of Australia.
